We feature a winery every month and we are so excited to share their story with you.Â
Our featured winery of the month is Ramona Ranch Winery, San Diego's only certified sustainable vineyard out of Ramona, CA. Ramona Ranch is a special place for us because it was the home of our very first workshop in 2020! We're so excited to share more of their story and the wines we will feature this month.
About Ramona Ranch Winery:
Ramona Ranch is a rare winery in the wine industry. Small, first-generation and owned by married founders, Teri and Micole, they have focused on sustainability since their inception in 2004 and are San Diego County's only Certified Sustainable Vineyard and Winery. Teri, a Navy veteran, oversees the business side of the winery, while Micole is the winemaker and vineyard tender.
Â
They produce limited quantities of vineyard-specific, single varietal wines, as well as interesting blends and are receiving widespread recognition for their wines, recently taking home Double-Gold medals at the Sunset Magazine International wine competition and more.
Â
Their newly renovated taste space in the hills of Ramona is the perfect place for a tasting, bottle or glass with friends. This year, I had the honor of taking part in harvesting their grapes for future wines and the vineyards on property are stunning. Check them out!
Â
We will be featuring 2Â Ramona Ranch wine's this month:
